The recent trend to publish books and documents online is having a dramatic effect on the way literature is distributed. Previously the process of taking your ‘written word’ to the masses would be an expensive process with large up-front costs and minimal return for the writer as publishing houses take the lions share of the profits. The advent of electronic publishing, now supported with the raft of devices to read the documents, means that pretty much anyone can write a publish their knowledge and ideas. Furthermore this technology has is advantages to the businesses out there with brochures, reports and accounts and literature being published on the web instead of on paper. The knock on effect is massive savings in print costs, reduced impact on the environment and money in your pocket. If you want to know how we can help put together your e-documents and get them out there, give us a call.

Supported by Sport England through National Lottery funding, it aims to introduce 16 to 25-year-olds from the Keighley, Bradford, Craven and Richmondshire areas to the National Park and to the huge range of adventurous sports it offers. It then acts as a link between the young people and clubs and organisations specialising in their chosen activity. The project has had a great start and spirits were not dampened by our ’soggy’ summer.

Kath Needham, the Go Dales! Project Officer, said “We have had a very successful first year which culminated in the project being involved in the Bradford Metropolitan District Council’s annual Champions Challenge in July when 40 young people came into the National Park to share new outdoor experiences, test their teamwork and work on conservation-themed activities led by YDNPA staff.”

The project continues to progress this autumn and the main focus is now on the spring of 2010 – to find out more please contact us or go to the GoDales website on http://www.godales.org.uk/

That’s right the nation has finally had enough of the average slop which is crushed into dust and crammed into the nation’s teabags – so here we have it a real tea mission from Teapigs

Louise the Teapigs tea taster (and Director) says ‘It’s about time that tea drinkers in the UK had access to the great flavour that quality whole leaf tea delivers. We’re calling on people to demand better quality tea from cafes, restaurants, and hotels across the country. The shameful brown slop that so often passes as tea just isn’t good enough. Tea drinkers of the UK deserve better – Drink real tea!

So they are inviting tea drinkers to join in, as they pledge to lead from the front, on a mission which is nothing short of changing Britain one cup at a time.

Sign up to their mission petition on their website. The more tea lovers who sign the more pressure they can put on the purveyors of slop to change their ways. www.teapigs.co.uk/drink_real_tea_mission/

The Social Carbon Company is a leading provider of advice and carbon management services to project developers in the Verified Emission Reduction market. It specializes in applying a system of adding value to carbon credits by quantifying a project’s contribution to sustainable development.

Based in São Paulo, SCC is a partnership between CantorCO2e and the developers of the Social Carbon Methodology. CantorCO2e is a leading provider of financial services to the world’s environmental and energy markets.

Their aim is to provide clients with high-value VERs that represent not just a demonstrable reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, but also clear social and environmental benefits to the areas where the projects operate. In a market where legitimacy is becoming increasingly valued, Social Carbon provides a uniquely transparent way of demonstrating to buyers of VERs that with their purchase they are helping to improve the lives of communities in developing countries.

Westbrook won against international competition to get the project of branding Social Carbon, following on to develop an interactive website and supporting literature. The launch in Koln was bolstered with digital presentations, display material and a funky post launch party.

The success of the project was evident when we were further recently asked to take on the re-branding of the Social Carbon Methodology also in Brazil.
